Mr. Paul McArthur Broach, Sr. "Cowboy" of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Memorial Hospital.
Cowboy was born in Effingham, South Carolina and had lived here for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Broach, a granddaughter, Amber Boggs Powell, his parents, Early Wesley Broach "Doc" and Gertrude Elizabeth Jordan Broach, siblings, Ruth Mack, Allen "Buddy" Broach, Natalie Dubose, Noah Broach, Bobby Broach, and Edith Owens. He was the owner/operator of Broach Construction Company and was known for his work ethic. He was loving, generous, always smiling, but hard-headed. He will be remembered for being energetic, and the life of the party who never met a stranger. He will be missed.
Survivors include his children, Joyce Broach Hicks (Danny), Wanda Broach Blackmon (Larry), Cecil Broach (Maree), Paul Broach, Jr., Tony Broach, and Billy Broach (Susan); grandchildren, Heather Wiggins (Brandon), Jessica Hicks, Paul Boggs (Stephanie), Christopher Boggs, Michael Broach, Ray Broach, Brooke Broach, Stevie Broach (Tasha), Tamra Grice (Jason), Britney Broach, Tyler Broach, Toni Broach, Taylor Broach, Bryce Broach, Hilton Broach, and Lyla Broach; a number of great-grandchildren; girlfriend, Lisa Leach; siblings, Early Broach, Jr. and Shelby Jean Wilkins. Ruby Broach Baxley, former wife and mother of his children, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home – WEST CHATHAM CHAPEL located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler, Georgia.
An additional visitation will be from 1p.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Stoudenmire – Dowling Funeral Home located at 2402 South Irby Street in Florence, South Carolina with the funeral to honor Cowboy's life to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Wilkes officiating. Burial to follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
