Paul Eugene Burgin

Paul Eugene Burgin, 69, of Big Clifty, returned to his heavenly Father on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He passed peacefully in his home. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was a member of Lone Star Church of Christ since 1986, where he served as a deacon and elder for over 20 years. His commitment to the Lord and his congregation was evident in his visits to member's homes, nursing homes, weekly calls and checkins, and numerous other acts of love and generosity. He was committed to loving and serving his neighbors and community. He was a third generation farmer, raising a variety of crops, including tobacco. He loved hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene Burgin and Marigold "Hasleur" Frank. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cindy Burgin; children Earl Burgin (Megan), Stephanie Nicolas (Chris); siblings Chris Burgin, Rose Burgin, Mary Collier, and Edwin "Tug" Burgin; grandchildren, Zachary, Grayson, Paxton, and Kyleigh; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 am at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Burial will be held at Mount Olive Church Cemetery in Big Clifty, Kentucky.Friends may pay their respects on Friday, March 21 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 22 from 9:00 am until time of service.
