Paul W Knapp Jr. 86 of Bordentown, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at home with his loving family by his side.
Paul was born in Newark and lived in Irvington and Edison before moving to Bordentown many years ago. He graduated from New Brunswick High School and Rutgers University. After receiving his degree in Chemistry, he began his 35-year career as a Research Process Chemist with American Cyanamid Company. Paul was granted several patents.
Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bordentown and enjoyed woodworking, going to concerts, crossword puzzles and reading.
Predeceased by his parents Paul W Sr. and Elsie Knapp, he is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years JoAnn Knapp, his two sons Andrew of Wrightstown and Douglas and his wife Janine of Lancaster PA, his grandsons Aiden, Logan and Lucas. His siter-in-law, Judy and her husband Stephen Carter of Morehead City, NC brothers-in-law, Samuel Slowinski of Gainesville, VA and Thomas Slowinski of Ewing, NJ along with nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on Tuesday February 18, 2025 11:00 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505 with Deacon Tom Shea officiating. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00 ~ 11:00 am at the funeral home, burial will follow at Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown NJ. 08505
