Paul Thomas Lowe, 65, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas went to be with Jesus on January 6, 2025. He was born February 26, 1959 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Billy Thomas Lowe and Patsy (Bootsie) Ellett Lowe. Paul graduated from Northwood High School in 1977, received a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at Louisiana Tech University in 1983, a B.S. in Cardiopulmonary Science at Louisiana State University School of Allied Health Professions in Shreveport in 2007, and a Masters of Public Health at Louisiana State University Shreveport.
Paul served as director of the Department of Respiratory Care at National Park College, where he has been since June 2015. He previously worked for LSU School of Allied Health Professions in Shreveport, LA, where he was an instructor in the Cardiopulmonary Science Program and was director of Clinical Education at Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier City, LA.
As a teen, Paul enjoyed serving as the organist at Mooringsport Methodist Church, which he continued for 45 years.
Paul's hobbies included reading, golfing with the Men's Village Bible Church league, small group Bible studies, and acting in the Murder and Macabre Mystery Dinner Theater. He treasured his relationship with his Heavenly Father and sought His guidance in his daily walk. He was so thrilled to marry Dena who enjoyed two of his favorite things: going to church and playing golf. Paul was so loved by his family, friends, co-workers, and past and present students. Having recently married the love of his life, he was instantly blessed with grown children and four grandchildren, who adored him.
Paul is survived by his wife, Dena Lowe of Hot Springs Village, AR, two step-children, Zach Brown of Farmington, AR and Haley Newman (Jared) of Prairie Grove, AR, four grandchildren: Landyn, Braden, Trey and Maddie, his mother, Patsy (Bootsie) Ellett Lowe of Mooringsport, LA, his brother John Lowe (Cindy) of Highland Village, TX, his sister Sue Diebold (Bill) of Monroe, LA, and her children Jacob Diebold (Lauren) of St. Francisville, LA and Matt Diebold (Cari) of Prairieville, LA, and five nephews: Jack, Reid, Crew, Henry, and Charles.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Billy Thomas Lowe.
A celebration of Paul's life will be 1:00 PM Monday at Village Bible Church, 100 Ponderosa Way, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909, with Pastor Jim Neal officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan's Purse: www.samaritanspurse.org

I met Paul at Northwood Hills in 1998, playing golf with our friends whenever we could. We were both left handed and were very compatible in other ways, love of music, and sharing our laughter at our feeble attempts to master our golf ball with our "swings". He is my friend, saddened by his death, praying for him, his family, and all those who mourn his loss, but grateful for his life of service. May God bless him, until we meet again!

I was the pastor of the Mooringsport United Methodist Church from 2005 to 2010 and Paul played the organ there. He could play absolutely anything on the first try if he had the sheet music. He was great! He also handled the birthdays and anniversaries, leading the congregation in singing "Happy Birthday." I asked him why he didn´t play while we were singing, and he said it was because he didn´t have the sheet music for it and couldn´t play it by ear! I called him the "human jukebox"! He was fine man, loved by everyone he met. Never angry, always easygoing, easy to talk to, never condescending. Just a great guy. I know he will be missed. You did a good job, Bootsie. Paul turned out fine!

I remember Paul as always having a smile and a hug!! We grew up together in Mooringsport. He was full of love for his family and his Lord and it was evident for all to see. Prayers for his family and friends
