Paul McWilliams Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 22, 2025.
Paul Warren McWilliams, age 80, departed from this life on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was born on August 1, 1945, in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Jasper and Nona Brewer McWilliams.
Paul's life was marked by the love he shared with his family and the joy he found in simple pleasures. He was deeply devoted to his late wife, Anna Holt McWilliams, who preceded him in death just weeks before on August 1, 2025. Their union was a testament to love and companionship that spanned many wonderful years.
Paul worked at Genesco Manufacturing Company, where he served as a boot inspector for many years. Paul found peace and spiritual fulfillment through his faith, having been baptized by the Church of Christ.
He cherished the simple pleasures in life, often found watching westerns or listening to music, he especially liked Merle Haggard. Yet, it was in the warmth of family that Paul truly found his joy. He adored spending time with his loved ones, especially his great-grandchildren, who brought light to his days.
As we remember Paul, we celebrate the incredible man he was-a loving husband, a hard worker, and a family man at heart.
He is survived by his daughter, Crist Kilpatrick (Randy) of Parrish, AL; son, Scott Robertson; sister, Elizabeth Daniels (Alfred); grandchildren, Jeremy Key (Ashley) of Corner, AL, and Ethan Key (Amanda) of Vestavia, AL; great grandchildren, Payton Key, Jaxen Key, Kinsley Key, John Waylon Key, and Jack Key; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Holt McWilliams; his parents, Jasper and Nona Brewer McWilliams; brothers, Hardison McWilliams, Bernett McWilliams, and Edward McWilliams; and sisters, Nadine West, Bernice, and Bonita.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00 am at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Joel Wallace officiating with burial to follow.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Key, John Key, Paul Ary, Jagger Ary, Tim Ary, and Fred Campbell.
