Pauline Wren, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in Louisville, KY. Born on January 27, 1934, in Phillipsburg, KY, Pauline lived a long and full life marked by resilience, generosity, and a deep devotion to her family and faith at St. Patrick Church.
A self-reliant and business-savvy woman, Pauline shared a remarkable partnership with her husband David Wren. Together, they built a life grounded in resourcefulness and determination. Their enduring bond was a testament to their shared strength and unwavering commitment to one another.
Pauline is survived by her devoted children, Don Wulf, Mike Wulf, Karen Wulf, Kimberly Wulf, James Wulf, Christi Carroll (John), Dana Smith. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply with her nurturing spirit and boundless love, along with her siblings Donald, Margaret, Sue, Wanda and Barbara.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-one years David and her sons Paul Wulf and Dennis Wren along with granddaughter Ashley Wren, her parents Bradley Colvin, Hadgie Harmon Colvin, Agnes Puryear Colvin and siblings Callie, O'Colonel, Viola, Helen, Cletus, Bradley Jr, Deverl and William.
Pauline's greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren grow into the people they are today. She celebrated their accomplishments with pride and found deep fulfillment in being part of their lives. Known for her giving nature and open heart, she was always there for any family member or friend who needed support or comfort.
An avid animal lover with a special fondness for dogs, Pauline adored her beloved companions Mia and Sophie. Her gentle care for animals reflected the same compassion she extended to everyone she met.
Our greatest hope is that everyone she loved will still see and feel her presence in every flower that blooms and every bird that sings. May Pauline's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243). Funeral service will be at 10:00am, Friday, September 12, 2025 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville, Kentucky.
