Peggy Sue Slapak (Castleman), 87, passed away on February 1, 2024.
She was born on October 2, 1936, to the late M.C. and Maudie (nee Harrington) Castleman in Hickman, Kentucky.
Peggy married Donald Slapak on October 5, 1957. They were married for 66 years before his passing in February of 2010.
She loved spending the harsh Ohio winters in Florida and her "Wine- Thirty" group. Peggy enjoyed BINGO and playing cards, especially Hand and Foot, 65, and 39. During the summer season, Peggy would treat herself to ice cream, which was her favorite dessert. In her younger years, her and her husband Don enjoyed dancing and bowling.
Peggy is survived by her children Donna (Frank- deceased) Ferrini, Jeff Slapak, John (Sandy) Slapak, and Lisa (Curt) Dynda; and grandchildren Angelina Ferrini, Bradon Slapak, Nicole and John Slapak, and Casey and Brooke Dynda.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Jerry Castleman.
VISITATION will be held on SUNDAY, February 4th from 1pm – 4pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on MONDAY, February 5th at 11am, also at Jardine's. Interment will take place at Strongsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Dear Donna, Jeff, John and Lisa (and families): We were so sorry to hear of your mother´s passing. She was a wonderful aunt and great person. We have many wonderful memories of her, dating back to 1979 in Ohio to the present time in Florida. She will be sorely missed by many people, including us. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
