On Monday, August 7, 2023, Perry Steven Trombini, 59, passed away after a long battle with severe heart failure. His wife and children surrounded him as he cruised right on into paradise.
Born in Charlotte, NC, on August 19, 1963, he was the only son of Agostino "Tony" and Sarah Trombini. He was predeceased by his parents and his only sister, Adrian Trombini Gault.
Perry grew up in Mauldin, SC, and graduated from Mauldin High School in 1981.
He was a second-generation tile mason by trade and very well-known from his succession. Perry's best times were spent poolside grilling for his family with his pups. However, when it came to Perry, the beach was always the spot to be. He loved building sandcastles, riding waves, & fishing along the shore with his crew. He had an undeniable love and passion for his family.
Perry met his wife of 39 years, Roxie Trombini, in 1984. Perry and Roxie went on to have three children of their own, Anthony Trombini (Lindsay), Brandon Trombini (Lew), and Megan Trombini. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Shane, Zachary, Madison, Lacie, Avery, and Aleena. As well as a special aunt and uncle, Gino and Shirley Trombini. He could never forget his canine companions, Lorenzo, Bridgette, Mary Jayne, Ruby, Fahzi, and his two grand dogs, Mah-z, and Bonzai.
Perry wore many titles: son, husband, father, friend, business partner, coach, and hero. He was truly a genuine hardworking man who would give you the shirt off his back. Perry's go to line was "If there's a will, there's a way." He battled with heart failure for 8 years and was a strong fighter, but we now find peace knowing he is free of pain, on some beach, somewhere.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast with visitation to follow.
"Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean."
