Peter D. Greci

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter D. Greci Jr., who passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born on March 25, 1939, Peter lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to his family and community. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Shirley Greci, and a loving father to his daughters: Karyn Kolly (husband Joseph Kolly), Kathleen Hannick (husband Thomas Hannick), and Christine Wood (husband Glen Wood). He was also a cherished brother to his sister, Jenny Pasquale.
Peter's greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren: Katherine Deagan, Joseph Kolly, Riley Hannick, and Alex Hannick. He took great pride in their accomplishments and treasured the time spent with them.
An avid fisherman, Peter found peace and joy on the water. Whether casting a line at his favorite fishing spot or sharing stories of the one that got away, he cherished every moment spent by the shore. His love for fishing was more than a pastime-it was a way to connect with nature, family, and friends.
He will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A special thank you to his caretaker Tammy Svenson, because of her kind and compassionate care, he was able to remain in his home, and to the hospice staff for their hard work and sympathy, especially Millie who helped guide our family through this year.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 16 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church, Friday, May 16 from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's memory to Guthrie Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd, Vestal, NY 13850.
Peter's love, laughter, and fishing tales will remain with us forever.
