Peter A. Pantalone

Peter A. Pantalone, age 87, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on May 2nd 2025. Pete was born in Chicago, the son of the late Nicolette (Degnars) and Peter Pantalone. He graduated from Brown Vocational High School and spent time working as a plumber and pipefitter. Pete went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1956-1960. Following his deployment, Pete owned and operated Pantalone's Restaurant on Old Capitol Trail with his wife, Barbara. Pantalone's continued to offer catering options in the Pike Creek area until 2010.
Pete was a devoted Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. He served as a Eucharistic minister and was active in the Knights of Columbus council. Pete loved his annual family vacations for the 4th of July holiday in Ocean City, Maryland and enjoyed taking cruises with his wife. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Pete was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Pantalone; and his siblings, Josephine Renzi, Mary Anne Pedicone, Joan Marra, Rita Giffen, Anthony Pantalone, and Robert Piane Sr. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Paolino) Pantalone; his son, Peter Pantalone III; his daughter-in-law, Pam Pantalone; his grandchildren, Peter IV (Laina) and Patrick; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Nolan, Kayden; his brother-in-law, George Giffen; and his beloved cat, Isabella.
A visitation will be held at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road Wilmington, DE 19808 from 10:30 A.M. to 12 P.M. on Tuesday May 13th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 P.M. Burial will be held privately.
