Peter A. Sipple, 84, of Emmaus, PA, died on December 15, 2025 from complications associated with Parkinson's Disease. He was the husband of Jan (Koval) Sipple, to whom he was married for 60 years, and father to Andrew M. Sipple, both of whom he loved very much. They were the center of his life.

Born in Morristown, NJ on December 20, 1940 to Joseph P. Sipple and Wilhelmina (Kunkel) Sipple, Pete grew up in northern New Jersey and western New York, graduating from St. Mary's High School in Lancaster, NY in 1958 and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Niagara University in 1962.

He worked briefly for Hercules Powder Company and then Lockheed Missile and Space Company early in his career before joining Air Products and Chemicals Inc. in 1964. Pete spent the next 36 years in a variety of engineering, marketing, energy regulation, and management positions with Air Products while earning an MBA degree from Lehigh University in 1971. Pete represented Air Products in a number of organizations in which he had leadership positions including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Chemical Manufacturers Association, the Electricity Consumers Resource Council, the National Association of Manufacturers, the International Federation of Industrial Energy Consumers, and the Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario, Canada as well as similar state level organizations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

Pete was active in local Church and civic affairs. He and Jan are founding members of St. Thomas More Parish in Allentown where Pete served on the initial Building Committee, chaired the STM Parish Council from 1969 to 1977, and later served on the Parish Finance Committee.
He was a founding board member for the Allentown Catholic Beneficial Association (ACBA) and was its chairman from 2018 to 2021. He served on the Allentown College President's Council and was honored to receive the DeSales Award for his volunteer and philanthropic activities. He was Chairman of the Ancient Oak Homeowners Association Board of Directors in the neighborhood's early development.

Pete also was involved in several community organizations. He participated as a Loaned Executive to the United Way of the Lehigh Valley, served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Partnership for Economic Education, was Chairman of the board of Lehigh Valley Easter Seals, served on the Board of Trustees of the Home of the Merciful Savior in Philadelphia, and was Treasurer of The Mary Campbell Center and the MCC Foundation Inc., both in Wilmington, DE.

In addition to his wife and son, Pete is survived by a brother: Michael (Marjorie), and three sisters: Patricia (Clifford Ernst), Ann (Scott Rapp), and Sue (Robert Cunningham). He was predeceased by his sister Cecelia.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown 18103. I enjoyed working with Pete at Air Products. In fact we enjoy going to the bush 2 convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he made a nice video of our time there which I still have.

Our time at Air Products overlapped. We had 10 or so meetings together. Every interaction was positive and I could tell how much he loved working for Air Products and doing the right thing. Affable, positive, conscientious, insightful-RIP
