Philip E. Collins, 79, of Northbrook, was greeted in heaven by his loving daughter Meaghan Mary Collins on June 15, 2025. He was the beloved husband for 47 years of Deirdre nee Murray Collins; loving step father of Thomas (Staci) and Brian (Katie) Mc Gurn, and father of Maureen and the late Meaghan Collins, and Michele (Michael) Keating; proud grandfather of Molly, Mac, Katie, Libby, Maddie, Conor, Shannon, Mary, Patrick and Kate; dear brother of Larry Collins, the late Jim Collins, Robert Collins, Maureen Carey, Kevin Collins and the late Ann Collins; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Phil was a proud graduate of Loyola Academy and Marquette University. He began his professional journey in the steel industry before finding his true calling at the Chicago Board of Trade, where he dedicated over 30 years and built a lasting legacy of hard work, camaraderie, and integrity. His career was marked not only by professional success but by the deep friendships he formed along the way. He will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10 am until time of the Mass at 11 am at St. Norbert & Our Lady of the Brook Parish, 1809 Walters Ave., Northbrook. Live Stream Link. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1016 W. Jackson Blvd. # 1073, Chicago, IL 60607 (www.mda.org)
