I'm so sorry to hear of Phil's passing just now I was the babysitter for their cute children, Rachel and Zach.
Phil and Leslee was two of the nicest people. I also loved their big dog, if only I could remember his name.
Prayers for the family. I treasure the memories, never forgotten!

I met Phil when I was the GM at WHO and KLYF in Des Moines. We were competitors. We served on the Des Moines Broadcasters Association together. I admired Phil's great leadership. I respected Phil and loved our conversations. When I left and tried to buy a station in Des Moines, Phil helped and put me in touch with Ed Christian of Saga. Phil was very helpful, and we had become friends. I always kidded him about his military intelligence background and how he could learn things in advance. Phil had a great story about scuba diving with ED, and literally saving Ed's life. Ed confirmed that story to me. I will always remember Phil's kindness, and his values. I'm so sorry his wonderful family has lost his daily presence. I sense his good humor and gracious spirit will be with them always. Thank you Phil for becoming a good and trusted friend.
