Philip Disney Merson, age 82, of Jessup, Maryland, died on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center at MedStar Harbor Hospital-Baltimore, MD.
He was born May 11, 1942, in Jessup, MD the son of the late Clarence Owen Merson and the late Esther Ruth Merson (nee Disney).
He was the husband of Linda S. Merson (nee Bright) for 58 years.
Philip was a bricklayer, and he loved fishing, dirt track racing, watching Nascar and taking care of his garden and he loved tinkering in his garage for hours. His favorite thing to do was being with his family.
He was the father of Philip Merson Jr, Michelle Dwyer (Chuck) grandfather of Ashley Merson and Kayleigh Livingston. Great grandfather of Carleigh Austin and Saralynn Austin. Brother of James Merson deceased, Bertha Youse deceased, Adelaide Harless deceased, Shirley Coon deceased, Mary Bromwell. Robert Merson, Paul Merson deceased and Ann Puffinburger.
Friends may call at CrossLife Bible Church, 2127 Old Liberty Road, Westminster, MD 21157 on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM; at which Time Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM at the Church with Pastor Quintin Merson officiating.
Interment will be on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD 20722.
