It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and husband, Philip Rudio, who passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on January 12, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA, Phil lived a full and generous life marked by devotion to his family, quiet strength, and enduring kindness.
He proudly served his country in the United States military, an experience that shaped his disciplined and principled approach to life. After his service, Phil enjoyed a long and successful career as a mechanical engineer, where his sharp mind, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail earned him the respect of his colleagues and peers.
Phil was a longtime resident of Marlton, New Jersey, and formerly of Somerdale. As an active member of his community, he was a devout parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith and service were a steady foundation in his life and a guiding light for his family.
Phil was the proud father of five children and the cherished grandfather of nineteen grandchildren, each of whom he loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly. At the heart of his life was his beloved wife, Marie (nee Guglielmo), with whom he shared a marriage of deep partnership, affection, and faith for 68 years.
Outside of work and family, Phil indulged in his love for golf, a sport that brought him joy and a sense of tranquility. He was also a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, rarely missing a game. He also had a passion for painting that showcased his artistic talent and appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.
Above all, Phil cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. The moments shared, stories told, and love exchanged will remain as a comforting presence in their lives. He will be remembered for his wisdom, gentle humor, and the quiet ways he showed his love-through hard work, reliability, quick wit, and being there when it mattered most.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Marie, and his five children: Philip Rudio and his wife Linda Rudio, Dina Mueller and her husband Louis Mueller, Cheryl Capozzoli and her husband Michael Capozzoli, Barbara Rose and her husband Raymond Rose, and Daniel Rudio and his wife Jennifer Rudio.
He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren-Eileen, Philip, Kirsten, Louis Jr. (Madeleine), Drew, Clare, Michael, Daniel, Maria, Ryan, Anna, DJ, Allie, Justin, and Sammy-who brought immense joy to his life and who will forever cherish the memories and lessons he imparted. He also leaves behind his nephew, Stephen Turdo, and his niece, Lisa Clemens. Phil was predeceased by his sister, Rose Turdo, and his niece, Denise Bosurgi, both of whom he held dear to his heart.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Phil's daughter-in-law, Jennifer, for the exceptional care and compassion she provided during his final days. Her dedication was a source of comfort and solace to Phil and the entire family.
His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will remain with us always.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 S. and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm, at the funeral home.
