Pick loved his family and friends and everyone who knew him loved him. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. His career as a commercial fisherman in Livingston, Texas bean around 1978. In 1986, he and Mary opened Pick's Fish Market. It became the go-to place for fresh fish. By word of mouth, people came from all the surrounding cities to shop at the market.
Pick was a man of great faith. He was instrumental in leading many people to salvation. Pick and Mary have been attending Riding on Faith Church since 2013. There he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and part-time preacher. He loved his Lord and Savior and told anyone who would listen about his personal salvation.
