Presley Haywood Moorehead, 64, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025. He was born in Dalton, Georgia, on April 1, 1960, to the late Lawrence Edward and Francis Geneva Moorehead. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Emmett Moorehead; granddaughter, Zoie Anna Layne Jane Moorehead-Miller.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Angela Cross Moorehead; son, Jason Lee Moorehead; daughter, BriAnna Lynn Moorehead; brothers, Lawrence Edward Moorehead, Johnny Ray Moorehead; sisters, Brenda Gail Moorehead Young, Catherine Ann Moorehead; grandchildren, Bonnie Lynn Moorehead, Jason Eli Moorehead, Alexander Javon Moorehead, Tatum King (Tater); several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Presley loved his family and raised two great children. He drove a hyster from age 18 until his retirement. During his career, he worked at Carriage Industries, Shaw Industries, Engineered Flooring, and Dixie Group. He was a hardworking man, along with his wife Angela, who works at Wal-Mart and Cracker Barrel. When he had some free time, he enjoyed fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
