Quan Trung Bui, age 60, closed his eyes for the last time and joined his father in heaven on July 24, 2022 surrounded by family. Quan was loved by many, and is remembered as an avid lover of sports, golf, fishing, music, and family. Quan is survived by wife Nicole; daughter Crystal, sons Quinten and Nicholas; siblings Charlie and (Dave) and Cortne and (Harvey) and mother Then.
Quan was born in Saigon, Viet Nam and came with his family to the United States in 1975. He lived in Great Bend Kansas and attended Junior High and High School. Quan attended Great Bend High School and moved to the Twin Cities to attend the University of Minnesota. He met and fell in love with Nicole Tang and they had three children, Crystal - Quinten - Nicholas who were the joy of his life.
Professionally he worked as a Food and Beverage Director at Radisson South Hotel. He also worked as a Hospitality Director at Jackpot Junction Casino. He finished his career managing a few Arby's restaurants in the Twin Cities. He has earned several awards for his excellent work. He excelled at customer service with his quick smile, charm, and warm greetings.
Quan battled kidney disease for over 10 years and this resulted in liver failure. He survived a quadruple bypass 5 years ago. He is a walking miracle. Thanks be to God!
As a father, he was loving and extremely generous to his children. He also extended this love to all his nieces and nephews and treated them like his own children. As a brother, he was supportive, helpful, generous, and always encouraged us to pursue our dreams. As a son, he took care of his parents and was generous and thoughtful.
He will be missed for his incredible steaks and Texas toast. He was a grill master and loved seeing people enjoy his great food. He loved eating good food with his family and friends.
Quan lived a full life and was loved by so many. His memories will live on in our hearts forever.
Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, August 3rd at 11AM at Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel. Visitation beginning at 10AM. Inurnment at Hillside Cemetery Niche immediately after the service. Reception with light refreshments to follow.
