Racine Concepcion
November 13th, 1985-October 16th, 2023
Hoboken, New Jersey
Racine Concepcion, 37, of Hoboken, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, October 16th, 2023.
Racine was born in the Bronx, NY on November 13th, 1985. She graduated from Minisink Valley High School and continued on to receive her journalism degree at St. John's University. She worked as a Project Manager at MRM/McCann Relationship Marketing.
Racine was the person who lit up every room she entered. She was kind to everyone she encountered, an ear for anyone who needed someone to listen, empathetic to anyone who needed someone to understand, a laugh to anyone who needed a smile. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, which always turned into an opportunity to sing and dance her heart out. She never missed an opportunity to watch the Today Show, and made sure to send clips to all of her family and friends of what Hoda was saying that day. Racine was a person who did not get dealt an easy deck of cards, and even with the hand she was given, she never stopped loving as hard as she possibly could. She loved to read and write and always dreamed of writing a book. She had a children's book almost complete, Sunny & Luna, that she was immensely passionate about. She loved to cook and host her loved ones, but also go out to dinner and enjoy a glass of prosecco. She loved to travel, see a broadway show, and go to the movies. She enjoyed laughing until she fell onto the floor, yet never failed to cry to any heartfelt movie or song. Racine was an extraordinary person who no amount of words can do justice. She was incredibly loved, as she had a heart of gold and the strength of a lion. If you were fortunate enough to know her, she made you feel loved, important and seen. She will be terribly missed by everyone who knew her. The world is left a better place because she was in it.
Racine is preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Alicia Rivera.
She is survived by her father Luis Rivera, her siblings, Luis Rivera, Britney Rivera, Sophia Rivera, Eva Rivera, Olivia Rivera, and Julien Rivera, her sister-in-law Megan Rivera, and her brother-in-law, Savvas Tjortjoglou, and her nieces Adriana Rivera and God daughter, Peyton Rivera, as well as an enormous amount of family and friends.
The visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY 10940. The funeral mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 at Holy Cross Church, 626 County Rd 22, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial to follow at Unionville Cemetery, 65 Waterloo Rd, Westtown, NY 10998.

What I learned from Racine is that, no matter life's challenges, she always prioritized family, friends, and coworkers. She always had a smile and presented herself well. She was a truly special and wonderful woman who loved being photographed from a young age. We deeply love and miss you, Racine. Please visit us in our dreams.

Today marks one year since you ascended to Heaven, and not a day goes by that I don´t think of you. I miss you deeply-your laughter, your warmth, and the unique light you brought into our lives. You truly have no idea how loved you were, Racine.

I often find myself scrolling through your text messages, reliving our conversations, and smiling at the pictures and videos we took together. You were stunning inside and out, and your beauty radiated through your kindness and compassion for others.

Our talks about the past, filled with laughter and nostalgia, are moments I treasure. You had an incredible ability to uplift those around you, and your strength, despite everything you faced, was truly inspiring.

I take comfort in knowing you´re at peace now, reunited with your mother and surrounded by our loved ones in Heaven. Your spirit lives on in our hearts, and until we see each other again, I will continue to cherish the memories we created together. Thank you for being you-authentic, loving, and unwavering. You will always be missed and forever loved. Until we see you again.

Love,
Titi Millie, Uncle Carlos, Jonathan, Carlitos, Mark, Caitlin and Hailey

My favorite memory of Racine is that when I would take pictures, she would wanted to take pictures of her. She would always be camera ready. I was blessed to have her in life.
