Ralph Jansen

Ralph Jansen, 91, a resident of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on February 16th, 2026. Ralph was adored by everyone who knew him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather (Papa). Ralph is survived by his daughters Kathy, Marie (Mike), and Linda (Steve), grandchildren Catherine, Michelle (Travis), David, Theresa, Tyler (Katryna), Allison (Michael), Charity and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife (Virginia), son-in-law (Eli) and great grandson (Arlo).

Ralph grew up as the second oldest of four brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents (Hugo and Dorothy), and youngest brother Daniel (Judy-dec), and is survived by brothers Lawrence (Rosemary-dec) and Jack (Karen).

Ralph was born on July 25, 1934 in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. He is a Navy veteran with 4 years of active duty and 30 years in the Navy Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. Ralph and his loving wife Virginia (Ginny) were married in 1957 and had enjoyed 68 joyous and eventful years of marriage together. They lived and made many memories in Wisconsin, Illinois, and finally in Arizona. They also had many adventures and travels around the world throughout the years.

Those who had the immense pleasure of knowing Ralph will remember him for his sharp wit, calm demeanor, sense of humor, and of course for his limericks. He could recall many stories from the past and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends.

He was always the man who could fix anything. He was tough and strong, thoughtful and kind, and almost never got angry about anything.

He will be greatly missed by all of those who were blessed to know him.

A visitation will be held on March 3rd at 4pm, followed by the Rosary at 6pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.

A Funeral Mass will be held on March 4th at 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish,11300 N 64th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.

Graveside Service will follow the funeral mass at Holy Redeemer Cemetery & Mausoleum, 23015 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
