Ralph, age 86 loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on Friday, August 25, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Edward and Virginia (Bates) Stainbrook. He married the love of his life Ghislaine Fortin on December 13, 1991. She survives him. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Ralph enjoyed traveling, woodworking and simply living the country lifestyle with his wife Jackie. Surviving besides his wife of 30 years are their children; Rebecca, Thomas, Bob (Sandy) Carrier and Lisa (Darren) Carrier, grandchildren Tamara, Mikey, Keri, Kati, Cory (Madisen), Derek and Arley, brother and sister in laws; Rose Helene, Claire, Noella, Louis (Louise), Simon (Gayle), and Nicole. He was predeceased by two children, April and Ralph Jr, and three brothers-in-law Julien, Henri Paul and Marc.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Woodland Hospice for the compassionate care given to Ralph and his family.
