Randy had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Newbern and JoAnn Williams, nee Mealer; a brother, Daryle Newbern; grandparents, L.D. and Dorothy Mealer; and a cousin, Tammy Martin.
Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Newbern of Hillsboro, MO and Jackie Acup of Fenton, MO; a brother, Harold Newbern of Colorado; an aunt, Pat (Bob) Mees of Columbia, IL; and an uncle, Ray (Louise) Mealer of Cedar Hill, MO; his significant other, Laura Ulrich of Cahokia, IL; two sons, Jordan Holten and Wayne Starz; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren/ He was also a dear uncle, cousin, and friend.
Memorials may be made to the family.
In following his wishes, Randy was to be cremated.

Randy was an awesome friend anytime we needed anything if could help he did. He is going to be missed dearly.
