Raul Rosalez

Raul Rosalez, age 58, a resident of West Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at his home on August 23, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was born on April 16, 1967, in McAllen, Texas to the late Feliciano and Belen Rosalez (nee Marmolejo).

Throughout his years, Raul was known for his kindness, patience, and the deep love he had for his family. He had a way of lighting up every room he walked into, and his generosity touched so many lives.

Family was everything to Raul. He leaves behind his beloved and devoted wife, Anna (nee Beatty); his daughters, Allyssa and Courtney, who were his pride and joy; his brothers, Reuben, Feliciano Jr, and David; his sisters, Rosa and Mary; and many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Belen and Feliciano Rosalez, whose memory he always carried close to his heart.

Raul dedicated 35 years of service to the City of Wheaton, where he not only built a meaningful career but also formed life-long bonds with many who became like family to him.

A true sports fan, Raul found joy in cheering on his beloved Chicago Cubs as well as the Chicago Bears. He also had a passion for music, which brought him joy throughout his life and often brought people together around him.

Though his passing leaves a profound void, Raul's love will continue to live on in all our hearts. As one of his favorite movies, Coco, reminds us: "We only die when others forget us. Remember me." So, if you close your eyes and let the music play, and keep his love alive, he'll never fade away.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. All are invited to gather for the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 3, at 10:00 AM at St. Irene Catholic Church, 28W411 Warrenville Rd., Warrenville. Interment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
