Mr. Ray Edwin Lee, age 82, of Winston, Georgia, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born on February 7, 1943, in Winston, Georgia, son of the late John W. Lee and the late Eunice Garner Lee. Ray was a retired Mechanical Engineer with 23 years of service from Southern Company Services. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army. Ray was an avid golfer and a diehard Georgia Bulldog. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Douglasville.
Ray is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Amanda Smith Lee; children: Carmen Lee O'Dell (Will) of Winston, Joy Lee Smith (Benjamin) of Sopchoppy, Florida, Terry Ray Lee of Winston; grandchildren: William O'Dell Jr., Ian O'Dell, Leighton O'Dell, Sarah Blankenship (Christopher), Christopher Andrews, Jr., Hannah Grace Lee, Brody Lee; great-grandchild, Skyler Blankenship; sister, Viola DeFreese and brother, Jack Lee.
In addition to his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Bill Lee, Jewel Lee Rowland, Mary Lee, Walter Lee, Bernice Lee, B.H. Lee, Mildred Lee, J.T. Lee, Roy Lee, Jim Lee.
The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October, 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 PM with Mike Lee officiating. Stephen Lee will deliver the eulogy. Ian O'Dell, Everett Smith, William O'Dell, Jr., Brody Lee, Christopher Andrews and Chris Blankenship will be serving as pallbearers.
Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery.
