Raymond Duane Hodgin

Raymond Duane Hodgin, affectionately known as Ray, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, at the age of 67 at Randolph Hospice House. Born on September 1, 1956, in Randolph County, Ray lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy. In his formative years, Ray attended Southern Guilford High School, where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of hard work and commitment. He spent many years serving his community through his dedicated work at Prestige Fabricators in Asheboro, from which he retired after many years of loyal service. An avid fisherman, Ray found great solace and joy in the serene moments by the water. He cherished the time spent hanging out with friends and, most importantly, treasured the moments with his beloved family. Ray is preceded in death by his son, Justin Hodgin, and his mother, Betty Edwards Horton. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 37 years, Dawn Henley Hodgin; his devoted son, Joshua Hodgin, and wife, Beth; his adoring daughter, Megan Hodgin; and his dear grandchildren: Connor Hodgin, E.J. Carter, Zackary Hodgin, and Zoey Hodgin. He is also survived by his father, Mark Hodgin, Jr. and wife, Anita; his sisters, Kathy Lapine, and her husband, Kenny and Sheila Hodgin Allen and her husband Rock; his brother, Wayne Hodgin; and his nieces, Crystal and Brandy Lapine. Ray's family will conduct a service of remembrance at a later date to honor his life and legacy. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
