Raymond Lespier

Raymond Lespier, 82, of Meriden, CT, beloved husband of Madeline Lespier, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family after a short illness.
Ray was born on January 9, 1942, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Fernando Lespier and Ana Perez. He was employed by the City of Meriden Highway Department prior to retiring.
Ray will forever be remembered as a kind and generous soul with a quiet, private nature that only made his warmth shine brighter to those lucky enough to truly know him. His wonderful sense of humor brought joy to countless moments, while his love for music, visits to the casino, and enjoying a well-earned cocktail reflected his zest for life. Above all, Ray's strength and unwavering love for his family defined him. He faced life's challenges with courage, cherishing every moment with those he held dear until the very end.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Madeline Lespier; his two daughters, Veronica Leventhal and her husband Cory, and Lorraine Frederick and her husband Kevin; and his two sons, Raymond Lespier and his wife Maria, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Lespier. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Julian Badillo, Natalia Badillo, Gia Leventhal, CJ Leventhal, Sofia Frederick, and Mila Frederick.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Aida Lespier Torres and Maria Mendoza, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his two daughters, Evelyn Lespier and Elizabeth Lespier, his sister Miriam Lespier, and his three brothers: Fernando, Rafael, and George Lespier.
