Raymond F. Scharenbroch

Raymond F. Scharenbroch, age 94, formerly of Kiel, died peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025 at LakeHouse Assisted Living, New Holstein.

Ray was born on June 10, 1931 in School Hill, son of the late William and Mary (Miller) Scharenbroch. He was a graduate of Kiel High School. In August of 1951, he enlisted in the Air Force, serving his country during the Korean War. He married Caroline Schneider on August 20 1960. He was employed 40 years as a plumber and pipefitter. After he retired from plumbing, he worked part time for Delta Newspaper delivering the Tempo newspaper for the next 20 years. Ray was an avid deer hunter and gardener for many years.

Ray is survived by his wife, Caroline of 65 years and 4 children, Gail (Michael) Ashmore, Brian (Julie), Mary (Jerry) Reszczynski and Daniel (Tammy). He is further survived by his 2 sisters, sister- in- law, Bernice Schnell, Betty Owens, and Agnes Scharenbroch. He is also survived by many grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Mary Scharenbroch: brothers and sisters: Dorthy (Bernard) Schad, Bernard (Collette), Herb (Bernice), Francis (Ruth), Alphons, Simon (Betty), William Jr. (Violet), and Anthony, brother-in-law: Terry Owens, siblings-in-law: Ray & Luella Schneider, Eugene & Lorraine Schneider.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond will be held at 12:00 noon on November 26, 2025 at S.S. Peter & Paul Church, Kiel. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at church. Raymond will be laid to rest following the mass in the church cemetery.
