Rebecca Gay Obituary

Becky was born to the late Rebecca (Adams) Gay Aubrey and Henry Joseph Gay in Mt. Sterling, KY. She was a 1967 graduate of Butler High School and later received her bachelors degree in nursing from Murray State University. She worked as a registered nurse for many years and later in her career as a hospital health care administrator. She was a member of the Motet Singers.
Becky was a tireless advocate for the humane treatment of animals. She dedicated many years of her life volunteering at different animal rescue organizations.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Becky is survived by her brother, Richard Gay, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Arrow Fund.
