Rebecca Kent Thompson

Rebecca Jane Thompson, 47, of Ottawa, KS died Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, KS.
She was born September 13, 1974 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Michael Wayne Thompson and Catherine Sue (LeRux) Thompson. Rebecca spent most of her life in the Ottawa area.
Rebecca was united in marriage to Donnie Kent in Decatur, Alabama. He precedes her in death.
For over twenty years Rebecca was a Certified Nurse's Assistant at Rock Creek of Ottawa.
She was an avid shopper and loved her grandbabies. She always had time to talk or play with them. She was well known in her circle of family and friends for her Tik-Tok Filters. She loved to send silly photos to her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Kent; her parents, Michael and Catherine Thompson; grandmother, Deloris Hardy; two grandchildren, Katelyn Ann Ellison and Samara Kay Wells.
She is survived by four children, Alexis Bishop, September Bishop, Haley Parker, Catherine Martin; two grandsons, Jackson Bishop, Grayson Bishop; one granddaughter, Avaiyah Greer; two sisters, Cathy Bell, Sherry Thompson; and a brother, Michael Thompson.
Funeral Services will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday January 13, 2022 at Living Way Apostolic Church, Ottawa, KS.
