December 16, 1950 - November 2, 2024
Redento "Tony" Mansueto, 73, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024 in Westchester Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was a wise man who understood the value of patience and kindness while always encouraging others not to take life too seriously.
Tony was born on December 16, 1950 to Candida and Rocco Mansueto in Montefalcone di Val Fortore, Benevento, Campania, Italy. He spent nearly 50 years as a master tradesman, leaving his mark on countless structures across Middletown and the surrounding areas.
Many of you may have heard him working in your basement while he joshes his nephew Rocco, one of his two sons, or his close friend Peppy who often worked by his side. He was always on the go but did enjoy playing bocce, watching Italian soccer, and maintaining a healthy supply of homemade wine with his brother Mario.
Through the years he served as an officer in multiple organizations including Sons of Italy and the Italian American Club. Being one of the hardest workers most will ever meet, he was always present and eager to help his friends, family, and community.
Tony was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Lucille, three children, Dina, Vinny, Marco, their spouses Bill, Melisa, Sungin, and 7 loving granddaughters, Kailyn, Evlina, Cerise, Aisley, Caia, Cadence, and Ryleigh. He is predeceased by 4 grandchildren and 3 brothers, survived by two brothers, Mario and Joseph, and a sister, Graziella. Spread around the world he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who love him very much and were present in his life.
There is no doubt many will mourn this gentle and gracious man. Our family hopes you can join us in celebrating his life and the short time each of us had with him.
Viewing will be private.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on November 11, 2024 at St. Joseph's Church, 113 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY from 11:00AM to 11:45 AM
In lieu of flowers we ask you make a donation in Tony's name to the charity or foundation of your choice.
