Obituary of Renae Lynn Turner
Renae Lynn Turner, 64, of Florence, KY, passed away on February 9, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Born to Howard Joseph Hoffman and Myrtle Ethel [Trumbo] Hoffman on September 19, 1959, she was raised in Covington, KY and graduated from Simon Kenton High School.
Possessing a luminous smile and omnipresent sense of humor, Renae's unique impact was felt by all in every facet of her life. She worked at Western and Southern Life Insurance Company of Cincinnati, OH. Many of her co-workers remember how hilarious she was and how frequently she made them laugh, always lightening the mood in the office. The spirit inside her was vivacious yet independent. Renae frequently enjoyed quiet nights relaxing at home, watching her favorite crime shows or classic sitcoms on TV. Her whole life was her family. She was always to be found attending and supporting her grandkids in their activities whether it was a sporting event or a play. She also loved to cheer on the Reds and the Bengals with her kids and family by her side.
Renae was a loving mom to Brandy Mitchell, Matt Stone (Tiffany), Justin Stone (Beth), and Alan Turner; caring and devoted grandma to Jacob, Maddy, Katie, Bode, Jackson, Nolan, Mason, Hayden, Croslee and Cooper and dear nephew Mark Hoffman (Susan). Renae was adored and will be sorely missed by many relatives, colleagues and friends. She was hugged and welcomed into Heaven by her parents Howard and Myrtle Hoffman.
A visitation will be held Thursday February 15, 2024 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 1182 Madison Pike, Independence, KY, 41051. Friends and loved ones are invited to come and share memories and stories of Renae from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visiting hours will conclude with a prayer, at which time, Renae will return home to rest comfortably with family.
