Renauld Joseph "Joe" Picou Jr.

Renauld Joseph Picou, Jr, "Joe", of Kenner, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the age of 84.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Marilyn Stilley Picou; his two sons, Renauld Joseph Picou, III and Brett Andrew Picou; and his parents, Renauld Joseph Picou and Mildred Durand Picou.

Renauld is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Picou Kitchen (Steven); his grandson, Andrew Joseph Kitchen; and his four siblings, Shirley Picou Ferrara (Robert), Ronnie Picou, Denise Picou, and Don Picou. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Renauld was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 19, 1940. He graduated from Warren Easton High School and attended Southeastern University. He was a self-employed general contractor for 65 years.

He was a lifelong parishioner of both St. Ann Church and Shrine and St. Angela Merici Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother and friends, having coffee with them daily, and, above all, spending time with his grandson.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM. The burial will be at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
