Renee Marie Lehan, lovingly known to family and friends as "Nae" passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on June 10, 1972, Renee lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and an unwavering love for both animals and her family.
Renee's dedication to helping animals was one of her proudest accomplishments. She attended Western Hills High School, where she embraced opportunities that would later shape her compassionate heart. As part of a work-study program at the Cincinnati Zoo, she not only expanded her knowledge but also deepened her commitment to animal welfare. Throughout her life, Renee had a soft spot for cats, often going out of her way to ensure that community felines were well-fed, even when personal circumstances were challenging.
An artistic soul, Renee took great joy in dancing—expressing herself through Jazz, Tap, and Ballet. Her love for movement reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Renee is survived by her beloved brother, Ryan (Lisa) Lehan, her cherished niece, Tara Lehan, and her dear nephew, Kyle (Sarah) Lehan. She was also a proud great-aunt to Xander, Liam, Rose, Lincoln, and Andreas, who will carry forward her memory with love.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lehan and Rose (nee Miceli) Keely.
Family will greet friends Wednesday, May 21st from 10 AM until time of Blessing at 12 Noon.
In honor of Renee's memory and her commitment to helping others, family and friends are encouraged to consider supporting causes that were close to her heart, such as the Parkinson Foundation or the League of Animal Welfare.
