Rex Allen Mantz, 58, of Fort Valley, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at his home.
Mr. Mantz was born on September 14, 1966, in Woodstock. He was the son of Shelvie Lichliter Mantz and the late Elmo Van Mantz.
He was preceded in death by his father and brothers; Elmo V. Mantz Jr. and Matt Mantz.
Rex is survived by his sister Cathy Mantz, brother Ford Mantz (Tonia Mantz), and sister-in-law Donna Mantz of Fort Valley.
Pallbearers will be Greg Melton, Charlie Plaugher, Daryl Minnick, Buzz Sherman, Trent Stephens, Johnathan Mantz, Michael Mantz, and Kevin Miller.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Detrick Cemetery in Fort Valley, at 10:00 AM. A Memorial Service will be held directly following the Graveside Service at Oak Hill Church in Fort Valley, at 10:30 AM. Pastor Jonathan Duke McCaffrey will officiate. Family will receive friends after the memorial for a meal at the Fort Valley Fire Hall.
