Ricky received his education in the Philadelphia School District and subsequently pursued vocational training in carpentry. Ricky held various roles that allowed him to develop a diverse set of skills and experience. These qualifications led him to pursue a self-contractor career, which he maintained for more than four decades until his illness advanced. Ricky was considered a Jack of all Trades and skilled to many. He was a natural born hustler who did not let anything hold him down. He was a fighter and would go to the drawing board whenever he was trying to put a plan together. He would tend to tell himself to "put it together, big Rick" very often. It was to the point; he tatted the slogan on his arm.

Ricky was loved everywhere he went and will forever be missed. He would be remembered for his good aura and fun-loving ways. His laid back, easy going and just a good vibe type of guy. You can find him on the dance floor at any party. He had many nicknames, like Reds, Pretty Ricky, Ricky Montana, Slick Rick, Dollar Bill and New Money. He also had many nicknames that he gave to others. For instance, Moms, Junior, Chucky, Killa, Magnet, Mayo, Dollar Bill and plenty more He is mostly known to call people close to him "Fam" and he will always be remembered by is unique ways.

Ricky favorite pastime is spending time with his family and close friends. Enjoying good laughs, nice music and gathering new memories along the way. He always had stories to tell about his younger days. Ricky accepted Christ in his life at an early age. He recently joined the prayer line with family and close friends and felt so good about it in his coming days.

During Ricky's bedside he was able to get just a few clear words out. He mumbled to his daughter Kasha, "Eagles one win". He remained in high spirits about his favorite football team.
