Richard A. Bradford

Richard “Rick” A. Bradford, 79, of Fremont, OH passed away on August 18, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, OH. He was born on May 28, 1946 in Charleston, SC the son of George W. and Shirley (Andrews) Bradford. Rick was a 1964 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and received his bachelor’s in education from Bowling Green State University.

Rick married Beverly Davisson on July 30, 1966 in Fremont, OH and she survives. He worked for Sunshine Biscuit for several years and then worked at Union Carbide/Dow/Eveready for twenty-five years until they closed. Rick then spent several years as a permanent substitute at Fremont Ross High School until he retired. Rick was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed reading, watching movies, working puzzles and playing video games. Rick also enjoyed history and was known for his incredible sense of humor.

Rick is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Beverly Bradford, Fremont, OH; daughter, Jennifer (Keith) Wendel, Hillard, OH; grandsons, Sam and Ben Wendel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025; 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 705 W State St., Fremont, OH. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Rick’s honor to the charity of the donor’s choice.
