Richard G. Brewer, age 85 of Millerton, PA, passed away at the Troy Community Hospital on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Richard was born April 18, 1940, in Ridgebury, PA, a son of Grant and Agnes (Sturdevant) Brewer. Richard was married to the love of his life, Patricia (Eighmey) Brewer, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage. He was a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church, self-employed farmer and butcher and served as the Rutland Township supervisor. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family on the farm.
Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Pamela Jane (Rodney) Sherman of Mainesburg, PA, Mary Ann Cole of Millerton, PA, Glenda Marie (Kevin) Stephani of Columbia Crossroads, PA, and Becky Jo (Thomas) Shuman of Millerton, PA; grandchildren Sarah Wunderlich, Heather Mattison, Justin Cole, Kayla Hunyara, LeAnn Cole, Nick Stephani, Tristyn Shuman, and Conner Shuman; great-grandchildren, Mason Wunderlich, Delaney Mattison, Hunter Mattison, Brooklyn Hunyara, and one on the way; brother-in-law Kenneth Eighmey of Millerton, PA; sister, Barbara Bowen of Millerton, PA; Mark May of Newfield, NY who was like a son to him; and his loving dog Fluffy. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Douglas Cole.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 9th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roseville United Methodist Church, 4118 State Route 549, Mansfield, PA 16933. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Howard Woodruff officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Roseville United Methodist Church, or the Troy Community Hospital, 275 Guthrie Drive, Troy, PA 16947. Burial will take place in the Jobs Corners Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
