Obituary of Richard W Carter
Richard W. Carter, 71 of Reevesville,SC
entered his eternal resting place on Friday August 25,2023. He was born on August 1,1952 in Charleston SC son of the late Harry Carter and Ruth Luurtsema Crosby. On December 9, 1979 he married the love of his life Darcy Lee Jensen. He was a kind hearted and loving person. He loved his family with all his heart. His passions in life were bigger then life itself. He did many things in his life from amateur wrestling, performing as Wolfman Jack, leather tooling, wood carving, etc. He loved making old things new again.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers David Carter and John Carter.
He is survived by his wife Darcy Carter, son Leo Carter(Morgan), brothers James Carter(Margo), Butch Carter, Michael Carter, and sister Donna Chaplin (Kenny). Grand children Nicholas Carter, Matthew Carter, Zoe Carter, Jordan Carter, Maddox Carter, Emma Carter and Jax Carter. Great grand children, Nathan Carter and Ayden Carter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm September 2,2023 at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services 281 Treeland Drive, Suite C
Ladson, SC 29456.

Mr. Carter, I did not know nearly as long as I would have liked to! From the second I met you, I felt like I'd known you for years. I remember your coyote scream ringtone that made me jump :) You have such a kind soul that made us all feel at ease in your presence. What a wonderful, upstanding, true Southern gentleman that I will not soon forget as you have become family. Your wife, Leo, Nick and family are in my prayers. Rest easy sir!

I can´t believe this special guy is not among us anymore. He never failed to brighten my day and make me believe any difficult matter could be overcome. Richard had the cheeriest outlook of anyone I´ve known. I will miss him and will never forget him.
My condolences to his dear family whom he cherished.
