He was born December 28, 1954 in Rowan County to the late Fred Foster and Pauline Gullett Foster. He owned and operated Rick's BBQ and Grill in Salisbury, NC for many years. He loved his customers and karaoke family. Due to his health, he retired and closed the business.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Arey; brother, Bob Foster; and son, Shane Rabon.
Richard is survived by his wife, Starla Foster; sons, Carson Foster and Robin Foster; and sister, Freida Foster.
The family will receive friends and family on April 15, 2023 from 3-4:30pm at Concord United Methodist Church, 161 Cherry Hill Rd., Mocksville, NC. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will begin at 4:30pm with Pastors David Singletary and Mike Shoaf officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to friends, Flora Rook, Teresa and Jeff Turner, Ricky Pope, and many more.
