Richard William Gilley Jr., 41, of China Grove, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at his residence.
He was born November 25, 1983 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Richard William Gilley Sr. and Barbara McInnis Marquez. Richard attended South Rowan High School and worked in landscaping. His smile was able to light up a room and he loved to joke around. His passion for cooking was unmatched for the love for his family and friends
In addition to his father, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Lane Gilley; and his daughter, Aryanna Brooke Gilley.
Richard is survived by mother, Barbara Marquez (Elpidio); children, Skye Gilley, Richard "Trey" Gilley III, and Dakota Gilley; and their mother, Brandy Gilley.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Remedy Church, 701 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord, NC 28027.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Gilley family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.
