I had worked with and known Rick since about 1976. We kind of lost touch over the past few years but we were always friends...Rick had a unique sense of humor and knew a lot about a lot....I'm very sorry to read this so late but I'll always remember our friendship. I hope that he rests in peace...for his family, I hope that you'll take comfort in a life well lived..

Dear Family, I am sorry for your loss. Rick was a kind, decent man, with a great sense of humor. I worked with him at the VA. I am also the friend that called your parents in Philadelphia after he fell down the subway stairs in Harvard Square. He did not want to alarm your family. I lived in Cambridge and was nearby, so I could see him at the hospital. He was especially kind to my mother when she would visit. I am now living near Covenant College and happen to know his college friend David Hoover. I was able to notify him of Rick's passing through his son today. Sincerely, Judy Watts, Ringgold, Georgia
