Richard V. Reedy, 72, of Winchester, VA, died April 17, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born November 15, 1952 in Alexandria, VA, the son of the late Lonnie R. Reedy and the late Eva M. Walker Reedy. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Ronnie A., Larry L., Frank L., and William A. Reedy.
He is survived by his son, Michael T. Reedy and fiancé Lindsey Lockwood of Stephens City, VA and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Colin, and Calypsa, he is also survived by a brother, Dennis R. Reedy of Cordova, Tennessee, his sister, Linda K. Henry of Strasburg, VA, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was employed as a Senior Vice President of First American Bank of Virginia and later at F & M National Bank (now BB&T). He was a graduate of Fairfax High School, George Mason University, and The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania. He was formerly a member of First Assembly of God Church in Alexandria Virginia and Shenandoah Valley Baptist Church in Stephens City, Virginia. He was a member and past board member of The Rotary Club of Winchester. He was also a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member and Past Master of Henry Lodge#57, A.F. & A.M. in Fairfax, Virginia. He was a member of Winchester – Hiram Lodge #21, A.F. & A.M. He was a 2 term Past District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District # 58 (now District # 4). He was a past member and Vice President of The Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and a past board member of The Winchester-Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. He was a past board member and 2 terms Chairman of the Board of The Henry and William Evans Home for Children in Winchester, Virginia. He was also a past board member and campaign chairman for The American Cancer Society, and past board member of The American Lung Association.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester from 10:00 am- 11:00 am. The funeral will held at Jones Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeff Beard officiating.
Burial will be at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032 on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 12:00 noon. Pallbearers will be Richard Beaty, Jr., Coleman Beaty, Brandon Lewis, Gary Gunnerson, Johnnie Vencill, and Donald Hillmer.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Henry and William Evans Home for Children, The ASPCA or Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
