Richard Reo, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Luigi and Maria (Antonelli) Reo. Formerly of Providence, RI, Richard was a beloved uncle, survived by many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. He was the brother of the late Anna Detri, Santina Corona, Assunta Iantuono, Dominic, Anthony, and Alfred Reo.
Richard was a man of few words, but his kindness and quiet devotion to his family spoke volumes. He had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved parakeets, whom he cared for with great affection, A true music lover, he always has a melody in his heart and could often be found singing a tune. He enjoyed watching and listening to sports. Richard was also a wonderful cook, bringing people together with the meals he prepared.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial in Richards honor will take place at 10:00 am Thursday February 20th at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis TN 38105.
