Richard Bruce Rosen (Rick) passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 80. Rick was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth, humor, and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Rick loved to laugh and to make others laugh. His life passions included racketball, golf, bridge, schmear, cars, boating, travel, reading, and chocolate. He has maintained many lifelong friendships that brought him great joy. He was a respected business owner in the scrap metal recycling industry for over 35 years. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Anne and Sol Rosen; and his brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Toni. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 56 years, Elaine. They shared a beautiful life together. He fathered two daughters, Sheri (Tony) and Jennifer (Tim). Rick was also the proud grandfather of five grandchildren: Amanda, RaeAnn (Kevin), Matthew, Lainey, and Jack. His legacy will live on through the love and memories he leaves behind. Funeral services will take place on SUNDAY, December 22nd at 1:00 pm at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Avenue South in Minneapolis and also available via Zoom at: www.hodroffs.com/RichardRosen (direct link found below). Shiva will be held on Sunday, December 22nd and Monday, December 23rd at 7:00 pm at Rick and Elaine's Residence: 3531 Oakton Drive in Minnetonka, in the Community Room. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The National Kidney Foundation, to support others fighting kidney disease, as Rick did for many years. Alternatively, a donation to the Jewish Family and Children's Service (JFCS) would honor his lifelong commitment to the Jewish community in the Twin Cities.
