Richard "Dick" H. Trehub, age 85, of Naples, Florida passed away on August 14, 2025. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 28, 1939. Dick graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and was a member of the ROTC program. He was married to Judy (Rommell) Trehub on April 28, 1963, where they enjoyed over 62 wonderful years of marriage.

Shortly after marriage, Dick was deployed to Tokyo, Japan where he rose to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army where he served as Comptroller for the Far East network.

Following his completion of service with the Army, he became an accomplished sales executive and small business owner who led three successful businesses during his career. His early career was focused on the floorcovering industry and he ultimately retired as owner of Gulfstar (Janitorial) Supply Co, in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Dick was also a man of many interests, hobbies, and passions. He and Judy enjoyed traveling to all parts of the world where Dick was interested in learning the local culture and meeting the local people in each of the many countries they visited. He grew up as a passionate Boston sports fan with the Red Sox being his favorite sports team. He also took tremendous pride in the activities of his children and grandchildren where he was always their #1 fan.

Dick was also very handy around the house, and he enjoyed the challenge of a wide range of home improvement projects. Dick loved a good meal with a wide range of food interests, but his beloved Pearl Hot Dogs were his favorite food. In recent years, he became an accomplished painter. His family always looked forward to seeing his latest work which included paintings of the family's pets. Dick's lifelong passion was boating and fishing where he enjoyed many adventures on the water in both New England and the west coast of Florida.

He is survived by Judy, his sons Ken (and wife Jill Clarke) of Boston, Massachusetts, Eric Trehub of Atlanta, Ga, his grandsons, Kyle Trehub, Scott Trehub (and wife Madison Bavasso), and Matt Trehub. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Susan Waldman (Trehub) of Bonita Springs, Florida and her daughters Lisa (Waldman) Friedman and husband Ari of San Antonio, Texas, Karyn (Waldman) Samuel and husband Rowan of Naples, Florida, and their children Jacob, Noah, Eli, and Alex.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on August 22nd, at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.

The Trehub family is very grateful for the love and support of their family and friends during this difficult time. Dick was a beloved (and very witty) husband, father, brother, grandfather "Papa Guy", uncle, cousin, and beloved friend to many more.
