Rick Palmer

George Richard Palmer Jr. (Rick), 65 years old, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday August 20th, 2025. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of George Palmer Sr. and Lenore (Harvey) Palmer. Rick adored his mother and talked of her often.
Rick is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anita (Myers) Palmer; his daughter, Courtney (Palmer) Seehusen; his son, Justin Palmer; his grandchildren, Shane, Kali, and Kelsey Palmer, and Piper Seehusen (who kept him going and on his toes!); his daughter-in-law, Marie Palmer, and son-in-law, Justin Seehusen (both of whom he loved like they were his own children); and his younger sister, Jill Palmer. Rick was predeceased by his younger brother, Rex Palmer. He will be missed by his best friend since childhood, Mark, who was like a brother to him and by Kacie, his black lab, who will miss all the treats he gave her daily! Rick will be forever remembered and celebrated by his family and friends.
A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington DE 19808). Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
