The world feels a little less bright with the passing of Rick G. Suit, age 61, of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born on a crisp February day in 1964 in Enid, Oklahoma, Rick embraced life with a warmth and enthusiasm that touched everyone he knew.
Rick was a man defined by the depth of his love, the unwavering loyalty he showed to those closest to him, and the strong Christian faith that guided his every step. His faith was not just a Sunday practice; it was an integral part of his daily walk, shaping his values, his kindness, and the way he interacted with the world. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Tracy, and a proud and loving father to his son, Jeremy of Euless, TX. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them, always leading with a heart rooted in his beliefs. He was a supportive son to his father, Ronald C. Suit (Patsy), and a caring brother to Jody Suit (Viola) of Yukon, OK, Doc Sean Suit of Pikeville, KY, and sister to Connie Marquez (Fred) of Pampa, TX. He is also survived by his aunts: Villa June Goodson of Enid, OK, and Joyce Smith of Homestead, OK; and his uncle, Emmett Goodson (Peggy) of Kingfisher, OK. He will be dearly missed by his nieces: Alexis Williams of Lubbock, TX, Brandi Jo Gaspard of Oklahoma City, OK, Raelynn Morgan of El Reno, OK, and Katelyn Joslin (Chuck) of Wichita, KS; and his nephews: Mack Trimble Jr. of Del City, OK, and Brandon Jones of Amarillo, TX.
Though predeceased by his mother, Marjorie Goodson Foster, his stepmother, Mary McReynolds, his sister, Misty Suit, and his uncle, Rex Suit, the bonds of family remained a constant source of strength and joy for Rick, all within the context of his unwavering faith. He also held a special place in his heart for his many extended cousins.
To know Rick was to know kindness, a quality undoubtedly nurtured by his deep faith. He possessed a genuine interest in others and had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and valued, reflecting the love and compassion he found in his Savior. Whether through a warm smile, a helping hand, or a listening ear, Rick had a way of leaving a positive impact on those around him. His memory will be treasured for his generous spirit, his infectious laughter, and the unconditional love he so freely gave, all hallmarks of a life lived in faith.
While there will be no formal service at this time, the absence of his vibrant presence, a presence so clearly illuminated by his faith, will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
The arrangements are being handled with care by Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, located at 1891 W. McIntosh Road,
