Rickey Krahn Obituary

Rick was born on Sunday, November 20, 1949 in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada and passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 in Alexandria, LA. Rick was an athletic and driven man whose passion for sports and life carried through everything he did. In high school, he played center on the football team, later becoming a standout defensive tackle in college before taking his talent to the professional level in Canada. His competitive spirit remained strong as he enjoyed playing volleyball every Sunday. Beyond athletics, Rick was a proud farmer and the owner of Whitehouse Farms, where he found peace riding his bicycle along the turn rows. He had a deep love for his English Springer Spaniels and German Shepherds, who were always by his side. One of his greatest pleasures was watching his grandson, Blake play football on Friday Nights and cheering the Jena Giants on. Rick's greatest joy came from his family - his beloved wife, son, and grandson - and the many friends who became like family through the years. His warm heart, dedication, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is reunited with his parents, David Allen Krahn and Marjorie McBeth Krahn.
Those left to cherish Rick's memory is his wife of 52 years, Ann Christiansen Krahn of Jonesville, LA; son, Chris Krahn & his wife Tara of Jena, LA; brother, Christopher James Krahn; grandson, Blake Krahn of Jena, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Those honoring Rick as pallbearers are Blake Krahn, Jeffery Cater, Jimbo Pardue, Jimbo McMillin, Tim White, and Albert Stevison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Al Guido, Kenneth Cooper, Melvin Purvis, Tom Cotten, Paul Lazarus, Mike Wilson, and Terry Smith.
