Ricky Austin Keen, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 4, 2025. He was born on October 7, 1953 in Indianapolis to James C. and Jackie Keen.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He was a member of the Mooresville Masonic Lodge, #78, the Sahara Grotto, and UAW #23.
In his younger years he enjoyed competitive roller skating, bowling, playing softball, and coaching his children's teams.
He also coached Indianapolis Naptown Roller Girls and he enjoyed vacationing.
He worked at General Motors for close to 35 years and started Keen Electric where he worked for over 20 years. In his later years his pride and joy were his granddaughters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 39 years, Karen Suzanne Keen; children, Michelle Lynn Keen-Flowers, Ryan Michael Donovan (P.J.), and Brittany Suzanne Conklin (Adam); grandchildren, Adalynn Suzanne Conklin, Kendall Jean Donovan, Alivia Jean Conklin, Finley Maria Donovan, and Amelia Mae Conklin, his beloved dog, Lily; siblings, Peggy Geisking (Dick); sister-in-law, Theresa Keen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jerry Keen.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service time at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2025 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the COPD Foundation, www.copdfoundation.org.
