Ricky Lynn Peart, 62, of Hardy, Iowa, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, with his loving partner, Laura Rees, by his side.

Born on October 5, 1963, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Ricky was the son of William and Audrey Peart. He grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1982.

A man whose life was centered around family, fun, and a good joke, Rick was truly one-of-a-kind. He loved attending concerts and sporting events, but his favorite sporting passion was football, where he was a devoted fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Kansas City Chiefs. An avid outdoorsman, Rick enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, and was often found on the lanes bowling. Those who knew him best will remember his playful spirit, whether it was playing pranks with his buddy Shrek or driving an hour just to surprise-visit his adult children. Above all, Rick cherished spending time around his family and loved ones.

Rick’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving partner, Laura Rees, his daughters, Amie Peart and Ashley Parks; and his son, Kyle (Desiray) Maas. He is also survived by his siblings, Bill (Paula) Peart and Lori (Steve) Trueblood. Rick was a beloved grandfather to eight grandchildren: Shayden, Ashtin, Jaxton, Kenza, Madysin, Jaylin, Raylin and Alana, and a dear uncle and cousin to many others.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Peart; his parents, William and Audrey Peart; and his brother, Tom Peart.

Services are pending for a later date.
